About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated, flexible, and faith-driven teacher to guide and inspire our 3-year-olds in a Christ-centered classroom. This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about early childhood education, loves Jesus, and is committed to making a difference in young lives.

What You’ll Do:

Faith & Ministry

  • Talk about Jesus daily and pray with students.
  • Lead staff devotions occasionally.
  • Actively attend your home church and be willing to attend Woodlands occasionally for ELC-related events (accreditation requirement).

Classroom Leadership

  • Be well-prepared, on time, and ready for students each morning.
  • Implement both academic and Bible curricula.
  • Adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Maintain active supervision at all times.
  • Engage in learning activities with the students all day long, from circle time, to outside play and everything in between!
  • Embrace the mess! Be willing to let children explore, create, and learn through hands-on experiences—even if it gets a little messy.

Flexibility, Commitment & Attendance

  • Must have consistent attendance and show commitment to the students in your classroom.
  • Be willing to go with the flow—teaching young children requires patience and flexibility.
  • Adjust plans as needed to meet the dynamic needs of the classroom.
  • Maintain a positive, can-do attitude even when the unexpected happens.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings, all family events, and any additional special programs or events as necessary.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Have effective, appropriate, and regular communication with staff, parents, and students.
  • Uphold and adhere to all policies in the Employee Manual and Parent Handbook.
  • Complete all incident & behavior reports and communicate them to families the same day.

Commitment & Professionalism

  • Participate in the schools accreditation process.
  • Attend all required staff meetings, school functions, and events (including when children sing in church).
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions—both in person and via email.
  • Complete 15 hours of continuing education each year.
  • Keep staff files and all required documents up to date.

Classroom Care & Organization

  • Regularly clean and maintain the classroom.
  • Prepare effective daily lessons and assess student learning.
  • Provide sub plans in advance when out sick or on vacation.

Qualifications:
Must have a Florida Staff Credential with a minimum of: Associate’s degree in Early Childhood, FCCP, or a CDA.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have the physical capabilities to:
    • Bend, squat, and get on and off the floor with ease.
    • Stand for extended periods.
    • Lift up to 45 pounds as needed.

Who We’re Looking For:
A passionate, flexible teacher with a heart for Jesus and a love for young children.

Someone who thrives in a structured environment but knows how to adapt when needed.

A positive role model who isn’t afraid to make messes while fostering hands-on learning.

A committed educator who understands the importance of consistent attendance and is dedicated to their students for the full school year (August-May).
